Self awareness in life is essential, especially if we are to become the person we desire to be upon release from prison.
The changing of old beliefs creates fear in many, habits allow us to do things without much thought, we are comfortable with familiar behaviours rather than learning new solutions.
At the Respect Group our 5 qualities form the foundation of Who We Are and What We Do:
- Self-Belief The ability to see it, say it, and receive it
- Courage The character to overcome it
- Hope The eyes of faith to believe it
- Passion The purpose of discovering it
- Vision The need to develop it
These 5 qualities are the platform from which formulate our dedication to one another. Excellence in our behaviour to one another. Respect for our differences. Passion to fulfill our discovered purpose and the discovery of Self Belief to just do it
How do we accomplish these qualities:
- By providing secure safe accommodation environments
- By utilizing the network of existing service providers
- By using various cognitive, NLP and other linguistic models, we re-educate ex-offenders on how to develop new paths of informative belief and behaviour that becomes a driver of significant benefit for them and their families
- By increasing individual awareness in the local community we can establish true equality for ex-offenders
- By providing opportunities in the community through partnership networks so that young people at risk of criminal involvement and ex- offenders, are given every possible chance to meet their full potential and participate fully in society
